COMPARED RENTAL VALUE OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN UKRAINE AND EUROPE
As reported by the Economic Discussion Club, the low rental price per hectare of agricultural land is recorded in Ukraine among European countries. According to the StateGeoCadastre as of 1 January 2018, the normative pecuniary valuation of one hectare of arable land was 27.5 thousand hryvnias – about EUR 840, on average in the country.
More expensive arable land is estimated in Cherkasy Oblast – almost 34 thousand hryvnias per hectare (about €1.05 thousand), the cheapest is in Zhytomyr Oblast – 21.2 thousand hryvnias (about EUR 650). In the EU countries, the most expensive rental of agricultural land is in the Netherlands – EUR 791 per hectare, and the cheapest is in Latvia – EUR 46 per hectare. In 2017, in Ukraine, the average rent paid of one hectare of agricultural land was UAH 1369 (EUR 41).
The highest rent per hectare was recorded in Cherkasy (UAH 2962), Poltava (UAH 2553), Kharkiv (UAH 2111) and Sumy (UAH 2100) oblasts. The cheapest use of land was in the Zakarpattia (UAH 719 per hectare) and Zaporizhia (UAH 795 per hectare) oblasts.
